JSAC Information

The Jersey Shore Alumni Club operates many successful programs that benefit both the undergraduates at the Delta-Beta Chapter and our alumni. Below is a brief overview and description of our programming.

Annual Christmas Party
Each December, the JSAC plans and operates a Christmas Party for alumni and undergraduates. This event brings together over 80 brothers (and dates) of all different ages and celebrates our bonds of brotherhood during one of the happiest times of the year. We generally get 100% participation from the Delta-Beta undergraduates and in 2006, we invited all out-going Sages from around the Province as well as Assistant Executive Director Jon Frost to attend. The JSAC also gives out their annual scholarships at the Christmas Party. Planning and organization costs as well as the security down payment for the Christmas Party are all paid for by the JSAC.

Scholarship Endowment Management
With the creation of the Delta-Beta Scholarship Endowment, some members of the JSAC have volunteered to act as members of a Scholarship Committee. These members are also the stewards of our chapter's endowment and are always at work finding new and creative ways to add to the fund so we can continue to give scholarships to our deserving undergraduate brothers.

Chapter T-Shirt Program
After each semester's pledge class is initiated, the JSAC gives each new initiate a "chapter t-shirt" sporting Monmouth University's colors. These blue t-shirts with black lettering (outlined in white) display our letters and are usually given as gifts in the minutes after a pledge is initiated. This gift is made possible by the annual dues collected by the Jersey Shore Alumni Club.

Graduation Cords
Graduation is an exciting time for our undergraduate brothers. As a show of our congratulations, the JSAC gives each graduating senior a set of Sigma Pi Honor Cords to wear during the graduating ceremony.

Alumni Newsletter Expertise & Assistance
The Jersey Shore Alumni Club provides a graphic designer for the undergraduate Alumni Newsletter. Also, the JSAC submits information to the newsletter for printing and helps plan newsletters in advance of their printing and delivery. When possible, the JSAC donates a portion of the printing and mailing costs to the Delta-Beta Chapter.

Travel Stipends
There is no doubt that the national events hosted by Sigma Pi Fraternity, International provide the perfect learning experience for our undergraduates. In order to help our undergraduates attend these events, the JSAC donates (when possible) a portion of the travel costs for each member attending Convocation, Sigma Pi University, and the Mid-Year Conference. Because the JSAC understands that alumni education is essential to the continued success of our alumni club and our chapter advisors, when possible a portion of the travel costs for Alumni Volunteers is also reimbursed.

Provincial Support
One of the best parts about being a member of Sigma Pi Fraternity, International is that your brotherhood does not end within the walls of your college or university. To this end, the JSAC understands that many of our undergraduates make life-long friends with Sigma Pi brothers from other chapters, especially in the New Jersey Province. When possible, the JSAC donates food and non-alcoholic beverages to attendees at statewide workshops.

SigmaPi.com Management & Hosting
Owning one of the most visible (if not THE most visible) Sigma Pi website on the internet incurs a small cost. Our website's design and management are donated by an Alumni Volunteer, but the JSAC picks up the hosting charges incurred by SigmaPi.com.
